In this paper we present an innovative vector outline description scheme that employs C¹ locally-controlled interpolatory subdivision curves to model the contours that best fit black-on-white bitmap images. The core of the method for outline extraction includes a procedure for salient features detection and an automatic algorithm for computing an appropriate set of local tensions.

Abstract
In this paper we present an innovative vector outline description scheme that employs C¹ locally-controlled interpolatory subdivision curves to model the contours that best fit black-on-white bitmap images. The core of the method for outline extraction includes a procedure for salient features detection and an automatic algorithm for computing an appropriate set of local tensions.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
