Research on the geography of borders and cultural geography can be interesting if applied to the territories transferred from one State to another, a process that usually occurs after treaties of peace are conducted at the end of international armed conflicts. This paper is about the transfer from Italy to France, after the Second World War, of the Upper Roya (or Roia, or Roja) Valley.
