The Chapter looks into the existing legal framework purposing to protect fishers from the multiple dangers and threats to which they are exposed. It analyses the dedicated Work in Fishing Convention (ILO C188), as well as other treaties. Potentially applicable norms are then assessed. The Chapter rounds up discussion identifying criticalities and highlighting room for improving the existing legal regime.
