The evaluation of N-benzyl-3-fluoromethyl-N-[11C]methyl-4-phenyl-2-quinolincarboxamide, a promising radioligand for in vivo TSPO imaging with Positron Emission Tomography (PET), led to the labelling of its chloromethyl precursor with the longer living positron emitter radioisotope Fluorine-18 (t1/2= 109.8 min) to perform long-time kinetic studies. N-benzyl-3-[18F]fluoromethyl-N-methyl-4-phenyl-2-quinolincarboxamide was obtained with a good chemical and radiochemical purity and a good specific activity. Initial pre-clinical data demonstrated that it is a promising tracer, showing a good signal-noise ratio in target organs of healthy rats. These results encourage further evaluation of this radioligand also in lesioned areas of CNS, characteristic of some important neuropathologies.

Abstract
These results encourage further evaluation of this radioligand also in lesioned areas of CNS, characteristic of some important neuropathologies.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
