The practices of Dionysism in Antiquity involved men and women, free and slaves, beyond gender, age, social class belongings, which instead characterized daily life in the community: they, as has been emphasized in many studies, assumed characteristics that made it real training paths, at least partly transgressive with respect to official and formalized educational practices. Within the framework of Dionisism, the dimension of the sacred was expressed in a complex interweaving of dynamics and practices that also included forms of violence and/or gestures loaded and outside of 'control'. The intervention proposes a reflection on these aspects, based mainly on the textual analysis of the Bacchae of Euripides, a document whose interpretation is still controversial and multiform. Within the Dionysian practices, a complex interweaving with the dimension of gender education also appears evident. The rite, in fact, and the dimension of the sacred led men and women to experience the possibility of transcendence from their own identities and their gender role, provided that these, regulated by education and codification, were not denied. In connection with this aspect, the Dionysian practices also proposed an interesting female magistrality in a cultural context where it was instead generally denied.
Le pratiche del dionisismo nell’antichità coinvolgevano uomini e donne, liberi e schiavi, al di là delle appartenenze di genere, di età, di classe sociale, che invece caratterizzavano la vita quotidiana nella comunità: esse, come ormai sottolineato in molti studi, assumevano caratteristiche che le rendevano veri e propri percorsi formativi, almeno in parte trasgressivi rispetto alle pratiche educative ufficiali e formalizzate. All’interno del dionisismo, la dimensione del sacro si esplicitava in un intreccio complesso di dinamiche e pratiche che prevedevano anche forme di violenza e/o una gestualità caricata e al di fuori del ‘controllo’. L’intervento propone una riflessione su tali aspetti, basata principalmente sull’analisi testuale delle Baccanti di Euripide, documento la cui interpretazione è tuttora controversa e multiforme. All’interno delle pratiche dionisiache, appare evidente anche un intreccio complesso con la dimensione dell’educazione di genere. Il rito, infatti, e la dimensione del sacro portavano uomini e donne a vivere la possibilità di trascendenza dalle proprie identità e del proprio ruolo di genere, a patto che queste, regolamentate dall’educazione e dalla codificazione, non fossero negate. In connessione con tale aspetto, le pratiche dionisiache proponevano anche una magistralità femminile interessante in un contesto culturale ove essa era invece generalmente negata.
