The article introduces the Symposium on "Educational Work and Its Contradictions," aiming to explore the complexities and contradictions of educational work in the contemporary context. This context is characterized by new visibility and regulatory recognition but also by challenges such as the low attractiveness of pedagogical professions and the phenomenon of the "Great Resignation." Starting from the post-pandemic landscape, the Symposium seeks to analyze the socio-cultural and professional role of educators, emphasizing the need to redefine the social value of educational work. The Symposium gathered contributions on three main areas: field research on professional experiences, theoretical investigation into the epistemological and methodological foundations of educational work, and reflections and research on the training of socio-pedagogical educators, with a particular focus on the development of practical and reflective skills.
L'articolo introduce il Symposium su "Il lavoro educativo e le sue contraddizioni"; l'intento è di esplorare le complessità e le contraddizioni del lavoro educativo nel contesto contemporaneo, caratterizzato da nuove visibilità e riconoscimenti normativi, ma anche da sfide come la scarsa attrattività delle professioni pedagogiche e il fenomeno delle "grandi dimissioni". Partendo dal panorama post-pandemico, il Symposium si propone di analizzare il ruolo socio-culturale e professionale degli educatori, sottolineando la necessità di ridefinire il valore sociale del lavoro educativo. Il Symposium ha raccolto contributi su tre filoni principali: ricerca sul campo sulle esperienze professionali, indagine teorica sulle basi epistemologiche e metodologiche del lavoro educativo, riflessioni e ricerche sulla formazione degli educatori socio-pedagogici, con un focus particolare sullo sviluppo di competenze pratiche e riflessive.
