Il voto degli studenti fuori sede alle Europee: una sperimentazione estendibile?

At the elections for the Italian members of the European Parliament on 8 and 9 June, there was a novelty: for the first time, students away from home were able to vote without returning to their municipality of residence. The measure, aimed at facilitating the exercise of the right to vote at a time when turnout is steadily declining, already confessed its ‘experimental’ nature in the headings. Hence the call for reflection on the possibility that it might give way to wider application.

Alle elezioni per i membri del Parlamento europeo spettanti all’Italia dell’8 e 9 giugno si è assistito a una novità: per la prima volta gli studenti fuori sede hanno potuto votare senza far rientro nel Comune di residenza. La misura, volta ad agevolare l’esercizio del diritto di voto, in un momento storico in cui l’affluenza alle urne è in costante calo, ha confessato già in rubrica il proprio carattere “sperimentale”. Da qui la sollecitazione alla riflessione sulla possibilità che possa dare il la a una più estesa applicazione.
