The article presents a pedagogical reading of the gender models conveyed, with particular attention to the representation of motherhood, a necessary and urgent issue to encourage boys and girls to build a critical outlook, as well as access to information. It proposes an analysis of the representation of motherhood present in the adventures of superheroines in comics and cinema over the last ten years, based on the the assumption that these characters, thanks to their immediate international success, entered the collective imagination, transmitting widespread images about gender roles. In particular, superheroines, in addition to transmitting a set of complex gender models, linked to traditional or non-traditional stereotypes, transmitting to the general public some latent and less visible, but very incisive, messages about motherhood, the latter constitutes a crucial element in the construction of gender identity, in its symbolic, cultural and social aspects.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
