Wounds caused by forced displacement, violence, impoverishment, neglect and genocide are often passed down across generations. The resulting physical and psychological traumas are extended in continuous chains of debilitating personal and collective suffering that bind individuals and communities to somatic and psychic records of unresolved wounds. This panel will examine the historical and ongoing effects of settler abuses that have been inflicted on Palestinian communities, and the importance of addressing and healing generational traumas as these communities center freedom, sovereignty, and self-determination.

Abstract
Wounds caused by forced displacement, violence, impoverishment, neglect and genocide are often passed down across generations. The resulting physical and psychological traumas are extended in continuous chains of debilitating personal and collective suffering that bind individuals and communities to somatic and psychic records of unresolved wounds. This panel will examine the historical and ongoing effects of settler abuses that have been inflicted on Palestinian communities, and the importance of addressing and healing generational traumas as these communities center freedom, sovereignty, and self-determination.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
