Human being is not the only one who produces images. These belong directly from substance, from this sensitive world, that is beating and full of life and energy. Archetypal images are deeply interconnected and they are related within a reciprocal transitive and reversible relationship, between poetic imagination and material imagination. This relationship uses poetic language as a connector, but it is hard to recognize it and use it properly. The poet is able to see and welcome images made by substance and to reply them with other images. The memory of the childhood age is the key because every poet can remind his belonging to the world, as settled in the beginning. In this way poet is like a puer who is playing with words and images. Imaginal education is inspired by Bachelard's thought and teach us how to learn from poetic language, to strength the infant sight in order to renew and feed the relationship between the human being and the world
Non è il solo essere umano a produrre immagini. Queste provengono direttamente dalla materia, dalla sua sostanza sensibile, dal mondo pulsante e colmo di vitalità ed energia. Le immagini archetipiche sono profondamente interconnesse tra loro e l'immaginazione poetica e l'immaginazione materiale si trovano in un reciproco e reversibile rapporto di transitività. Questa relazione si sostanzia grazie al linguaggio poetico, frutto di un arduo lavoro di produzione alchemica. Il poeta è colui che riconosce le immagini del mondo e sa rispondere ad esse con immagini, in forma di canto e controcanto. La memoria d'infanzia è la chiave di tale reciprocità, poiché il poeta, ricordando l'infanzia sognante, ricorda la sua appartenenza al mondo, e il mondo come era da principio. Poeta è il fanciullo sognante che gioca con le immagini e le parole. La pedagogia immaginale si ispira così al pensiero di Bachelard, sulle reverie di infanzia, per rinnovare e nutrire la relazione tra uomo e mondo
