Abstract
The folding of acoustic surface phonons occurring in certain diatomic crystals of nearly equal masses is studied experimentally by means of He atom inelastic scattering for the case of NaF(001) along the 110 direction. The nature of the folded surface modes is briefly discussed. © 1987 The American Physical Society.File in questo prodotto:
