Le rappresentazioni del gioco d'infanzia nella Grecia antica

The Author presents, in this essay, some thoughts about the dimension of the child’s play and its performances in old Greece. There are documents from various sources that testify the playful activity in the classical age: one hand, archaeological and figurative evidence as baby bottles and rattles found at the burial places of childhood, on the other hand, there are literary sources from, for example, Aristophanes, Plato, Aristotle. The play activities were typical of childhood and had functions of recreation and exploration, but also of acculturation, socialization and learning
