Emotions exert pervasive effects on several cognitive functions. We aimed to understand the impact of facial emotions’ display on spatial navigation. Results showed that only exposure to fearful (vs angry vs neutral) faces decreased males’ wayfinding performances, while females were unaffected by any emotional manipulations.
