Soggettivazione significante e precostruzioni semantiche. La posizione dell’inconscio in Les verités de La Palice di Michel Pêcheux

The relationship between interpellation and subject is a fundamental level of analysis in Althusser’s theory of ideology. Michel Pêcheux has developed an original version of this relationship, giving it a marked linguistic value, and crossing theoretical notions that come from Althusserism and Lacanism. In this essay I will mainly deal with Les verités de La Palice (1975). After showing the double movement of the signifying interpellation and the production process of a semantic unit, I will identify the position of the linguistic unconscious in conjunction with what Pêcheux calls inter-discourse.
