The article examines a distance learning practice (dad) implemented within two university courses of cultural anthropology held online in 2020. Students were asked to carry out an exercise with the aim of approaching the participatory observation methodology. The activity, conditioned by the state of health emergency of those months, in many cases has turned into an ethnographic experience through which students reasoned about their daily lives. The data collected highlighted interpretative elements related to a condition of uncertainty caused by the pandemic and the combination of different spaces and times. Starting from an analysis of some field notes, the article reflects on the educative opportunities opened up by the dad and on the social bonds linked to the educational relationship established by it.
L’articolo esamina una pratica didattica a distanza (dad) programmata all’interno di due corsi universitari di antropologia culturale tenutisi online nel 2020. Le studentesse e gli studenti sono stati chiamati a compiere un’esercitazione con il fine di avvicinarsi alla metodologia dell’osservazione partecipante. L’attività, condizionata dallo stato di emergenza sanitaria, si è tramutata in molti casi in un’esperienza etnografica attraverso cui le studentesse e gli studenti hanno ragionato sulla propria quotidianità. I dati raccolti hanno messo in luce elementi interpretativi ascrivibili alla sensazione d’incertezza causata dall’epidemia e alla commistione tra spazi e tempi diversi. A partire da un’analisi di alcune note di campo, l’articolo riflette sulle occasioni formative schiuse dalla dad e sui vincoli sociali legati alla relazione educativa da essa stabilita.
