Seven arterial grafts implanted for a period varying from 8 months to 12 years and removed due to clinical failure were examined by means of an ISI-Super Mini SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) at 7.5 Kv. Three specimens of dacron prostheses before implantation were also examined. The SEM findings are reported.
