TSL and pre-dose studies on the 110°C peak in quartz crystals and powders put in evidence an anti-correlation between TSL intensity and TSL sensitivity increase. The results together with recent observations on the decay of RT phosphorescence and radiation induced a.c. conductance promote the proposal of a phenomenological model on the dynamics of traps, carriers and luminescent centers responsible for the TSL and the pre-dose effect in crystalline SiO2. © 1985.
