Abstract
The third edition of Design Modelling Symposium, held in Berlin at the Universität der Künste Berlin (UDK) from 7th to 12th October, turned into a privileged observatory of the challenge that researchers and designers from disparate fields are facing in the attempt to control the complex system of contemporary architecture. The article is a conversation between a designer (Sabina Barcucci) and a sociologist (Bertram Niessen) about the main consequences of parametric design: the new centrality of data in new production systems; the Building Information Modeling (BIM); the relationship among predictability, control and responsibility; aesthetics of computation and city branding.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
