In this paper, we set out to examine the concept of child that informs educational activities designed by adults in dedicated spaces. Over years of exchange with a Brazilian university, we have had the opportunity to observe children’s potential for development from a new perspective, while working with teachers and early childhood educators. During a course delivered to PhD students at the Brazilian university, we focused on the importance of observation and documentation, once again emphasizing children’s potential and new ways of conceptualizing care.

Abstract
In this paper, we set out to examine the concept of child that informs educational activities designed by adults in dedicated spaces. Over years of exchange with a Brazilian university, we have had the opportunity to observe children’s potential for development from a new perspective, while working with teachers and early childhood educators. During a course delivered to PhD students at the Brazilian university, we focused on the importance of observation and documentation, once again emphasizing children’s potential and new ways of conceptualizing care.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
