To design an information system is very complex, to teach how to design an information system is extremely difficult, but, since I like to face impossible challenges, after 25 years of teaching the course, first at University La Sapienza in Rome, then at University of Milano-Bicocca, in the occasion of my last year of teaching before retiring, I decided to write a book on How to design an information system.
