Abstract

Language has, in addiction to the extraordinary value of symbolic construction socially shared, to refer to absent realities, the importance of being semantic vehicle, a collection of signs directed to realize, keep and enrich the relationship with the other person. In psychopathologic syndromes the subject put himself in a different way compared to the other people, always with the strong intention of keeping himself in relation to the others. The fundamental theory of Conversationalism is based on the attempt of looking for a way to emphasize the approach to people with Alzheimer's disease. Observing people with Alzheimer's disease we could see a dissociation between communication and conversation; Conversationalism is focused on the still working faculty, the conversation. Conversation with Alzheimer subjects show the feeling of recovering communication abilities, which it corresponds more to an emotive phenomena than then to a cognitive one.
