Milano. Quartieri periferici tra incertezza e trasformazione

In the contemporary cities the peripheral neighbourhoods, and in particularly the large housing estates, seem to be vulnerable areas with scare social and economic resource. These large housing estates suffer of lack of capabilities to face new and old problems, and they are characterized by feeling of insecurity that often reveals a sense of abandonment and marginality. Furthermore, these areas are not static entities, but they experience different changing trajectories, which are influenced by local, urban and global processes.
