This paper deals with the problems of using pervasive wireless sensor networks to monitor people that live in their homes and have no critical chronic condition. The rich set of sensors that can be used and their sheer number make it quite complex to interpret the data: in the paper we argue that it is possible and very useful to add a reasoning component to the architecture. We also delve into the various open research questions that must be solved in order to build really e ective home health-monitoring systems

Abstract
This paper deals with the problems of using pervasive wireless sensor networks to monitor people that live in their homes and have no critical chronic condition. The rich set of sensors that can be used and their sheer number make it quite complex to interpret the data: in the paper we argue that it is possible and very useful to add a reasoning component to the architecture. We also delve into the various open research questions that must be solved in order to build really e ective home health-monitoring systemsI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
