Una riflessione pedagogica sui padri, il loro ruolo educativo, la loro presenza nei servizi per l’infanzia

This paper presents a pedagogical reflection on the role and the styles of fathers in the care, upbringing and education of children from infancy. Focus on the father figure and his greater involvement in educational contexts are among the many social and cultural changes of the twentieth century. These aspects affect both the family structure and educational services, prompting us to think about how behaviors, models and educational, cultural, gender representations meet and intertwine in the definition of "a common educational objective relating to the child" (Mantovani, 2006, p. 71) in ways we are not always fully aware of. Il contributo presenta una riflessione pedagogica sul ruolo e sugli stili dei padri nella cura, nella crescita e nell’educazione dei bambini sin dall’infanzia. L’attenzione alla figura paterna e il suo maggior coinvolgimento nei contesti educativi costituiscono uno dei tanti cambiamenti socio-culturali del XX secolo. Si tratta di aspetti che investono tanto l'assetto familiare, quanto i servizi educativi, spingendoci a riflettere sul modo in cui comportamenti, modelli, rappresentazioni educative, culturali, di genere si vengono ad incontrare ed intrecciare - in modi non sempre del tutto consapevoli – nella definizione di “una comune finalità educativa orientata al bambino” (Mantovani, 2006, p. 71). Scopo dell’articolo è discutere, a partire da recenti contributi di studio e ricerca, sulla necessità di non prendere “semplicemente atto dei cambiamenti che hanno caratterizzato la maternità e la paternità” (Schenetti, 2011, p. 2), ma di provare a metterli in dialogo con i servizi educativi
