The increasing incidence of eating disorders in adolescent boys has led the Authors to evaluate personality assessment in 15 male patients treated between 1987 and 2004 for ED. The patients were requested to compile two self-administered questionnaires (MMPI and EDI-2) and to carry out an anamnestic interview. The same questionnaires were compiled by a group composed of 20 girls affected by ED and by a group composed of 14 boys without ED. The results have been compared to the ones obtained by the male patients.
