In this article I first explain what I mean by the term critical psychology. Then, developing ideas formulated in my previous work (Colucci, 1998, 1999), I propose my theory of common sense, and underline its necessary correspondence with everyday life while as the same time criticising the most common theories relating to these two concepts. It is assumed that common sense and everyday life can have a critical potential, that is an emancipatory potential “for all men”, in that they can address and direct the radical changes affecting our society rather than simply undergoing them.

Abstract
In this article I first explain what I mean by the term critical psychology. Then, developing ideas formulated in my previous work (Colucci, 1998, 1999), I propose my theory of common sense, and underline its necessary correspondence with everyday life while as the same time criticising the most common theories relating to these two concepts. It is assumed that common sense and everyday life can have a critical potential, that is an emancipatory potential “for all men”, in that they can address and direct the radical changes affecting our society rather than simply undergoing them.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
